I have alot of mixed feelings about about billboards. I mean there can be some very cool creative ones, but they also pollute the landscape. To many billboards, bulletins, and signs can look very bad. Recently there have been some regulations on outdoor advertising. Vermont, Hawaii, Maine and Alaska have all banned all billboards. In 2007 Sao Paulo in Brazil banned all billboards in the city. This probably will never happen in the U.S. due to the laws protecting property and all that makes America great. I do know in California that billboards are restricted. There is only so much space so I think this might allow for some creative solutions. Also with the lack of billboards other creative solutions have to be utilized for outdoor ads. Billboards these days and
more so in the future need to be used wisely and, of
course, depending on location can be expensive and pricey.

Mcdonalds has had some very good billboard advertising! This billboard is memorable and remarkable and even has multiple blog postings about it!

This Mcdonalds outdoor ad is ridiculous! It really
does make me want to go get a Mickey Ds coffee.
